MEET ME
A Compassionate and Holistic Approach to Therapy
I’m Victoria Windham, a licensed clinical social worker and addiction specialist providing online therapy through Willow Bend Psychotherapy & Wellness. My practice operates as a virtual office, so I conduct every session online. I work with adults in Charleston, SC, as well as clients located throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.
I support adult men and women, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, codependency, substance use, and other concerns related to addiction. Some of my clients begin therapy because they feel emotionally overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves. Others use substances or numbing behaviors to cope with difficult emotions. I also work with partners and family members affected by a loved one’s addiction. I help them communicate more effectively, establish healthier boundaries, and care for their own well-being.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and honest. Instead of focusing exclusively on current symptoms, I help clients consider how their relationships, earlier experiences, family systems, and nervous system responses may be affecting them today. This broader perspective allows me to help them recognize recurring patterns, better understand their emotional responses, and identify practical changes they can sustain.
Depending on each client’s needs, I may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), family systems work, nervous system healing, and inner child and reparenting work. I use these approaches to support online trauma therapy, strengthen emotional awareness, and develop practical ways of navigating present challenges. I support clients in gaining greater clarity and resilience while building stronger relationships with themselves and the people who matter to them.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Winthrop University. I am fully licensed as an LISW-CP and LCSW in North Carolina and South Carolina. I also hold full licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS). In addition, I completed extensive EMDR training and received my EMDR-Trained Psychotherapist certificate through the Trauma Therapist Institute, an EMDRIA-approved training provider.
My goal is to create a warm, respectful, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment. I want my clients to feel comfortable speaking openly, understanding their experiences more fully, and working toward lives that feel more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling.
THE HEALING JOURNEY
Resilience Through Every Season of Change
I understand that change does not always follow a predictable path. The healing process may include moments of progress, uncertainty, rest, and renewed growth. The willow reflects how I view this journey: it remains firmly rooted while adapting to the forces around it. I believe that with understanding, meaningful connection, and the right support, you can become more resilient without losing touch with who you truly are.
